IMPHAL: Altogether 14 samples were tested at VRDL laboratory at JNIMS and RIMS on Saturday and all results came out negative for COVID-19. Three samples were tested at RIMS and 11 at JNIMS.
According to State Surveillance Officer, IDSP, Manipur, altogether 418 drivers and handymen (of trucks, gas bullets/oil tankers) were screened at ISBT (Truck), YAS Complex Khuman Lampak and Sekmai Gas plant on Saturday. 325 truck drivers and handymen were screened at ISBT and 80 at YAS Complex and 13 at Sekmai Gas plant. No persons were found with symptoms during the screening. A cumulative of 8050 drivers and handymen have been screened till date.
A cumulative total of 416 samples including today’s 14 samples submitted have been tested so far.
Altogether 84 (57 male, 27 female) persons are currently under Home Quarantine and at different Government Quarantine facilities. 6 new individuals were kept under Government quarantine centres today. 10 persons are at State TB Hospital Wangkhem Keirao, one at UNACCO School, Meitram, five at KGBV Thamnapokpi, 7 at Bijang Circuit House, 23 at District Hospital, Jiribam, 2 at JNV Umathel, 4 at EMRS Gamnom Saoprmeina, 26 at JNV Mao, one at Forest Rest House, Moreh, 4 at GNM school Thoubal and one at District Hospital Ukhrul.
One person is currently at the isolation ward at Churachandpur District Hospital. No person is at the isolation ward of RIMS and JNIMS at present.
On Saturday, 475 persons entered the state via different entry points. 366 persons entered the state via Mao gate, 109 via Jiribam. There were screened at the gates by the medical teams.
A cumulative of 195315 persons entered the state through different entry points including Imphal airport have been screened so far.
